Trainees in the spotlight at the Indiana Physiological Society annual meeting

The Bone & Mineral Group at Marian University was highly visible at the 2018 annual meeting of the Indiana Physiological Society hosted by Taylor University. Grad student Nick Weinstein was awarded an oral presentation for his thesis work on nutrient-sensing GPCRs; medical student Sylvia Chlebek was awarded an oral presentation for her work on signaling dynamics in osteoprogenitor cells; grad student Krista Jackson presented a poster of her thesis work on transcriptomics in a murine model of high bone mass; Dr. Julia Hum, assistant professor of physiology & pharmacology at MU-COM served on a career panel; and I co-presented a keynote on "SciComm & Social Media" with Dr. Bill Sullivan, Showalter Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology at IUSM.
